Kenneth Joseph LaBlanc was born on October 19, 1921 in rural Clayton, Wisconsin the son of Ovila Joseph and Jessie M. (Huberty) LaBlanc. Kenneth attended grade school in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin and then graduated from the Clayton High School. He was united in marriage to Jeanette B. Pahlow on August 31, 1943 in Stillwater, Minnesota. They made their home in Clayton where they raised their eleven children on a rural farm. Kenneth worked at Stella Cheese from 1940 to 1943. He then operated a dairy farm from 1943 until 1998 when he retired. He moved off the farm to a home nearby where he lived until moving to Golden Age Manor in May of 2010. Kenneth died at Amery Regional Medical Center on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the age of 91. He enjoyed raising his large family and loved seeing all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed walking. He was very blessed with a full and wonderful life. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Ovila and Jessie; siblings: Merwin LaBlanc, Stanley LaBlanc, Larry LaBlanc and Elaine LaBlanc-Andress; two grandchildren: John Kenneth Stanger and Kenneth Joseph LaBlanc. Left to celebrate his life are his wife Jeanette; all eleven children: Janet Stanger, Cheryl Dunemann, Terry (Shari) LaBlanc, Ricky (Mary) LaBlanc, Valerie (Jim) Stanger, Debra (Paul) Stanger, Denise (Dave) Leschisin, Darla (Doug) Larson, Randy (Tracy) LaBlanc, Todd (Melanie) LaBlanc and Kevin LaBlanc. He also leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. They brought him so much joy and happiness when they came to visit. Kenneth had a very special bond with each and every one of them. The family is grateful for all the family members who made his life full of love and wonderful memories.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. There will be a visiting time for the hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later time at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.
