Obituary

Alice May (Miller) Boe, 89 passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12th, 2017 after a brief stay at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Alice grew up on a farm in Clayton, Wisconsin. She was the sixth of seven children born to Clarence and Alice (Brandt) Miller. She graduated from Clayton High School in 1945 and worked in the office of Doboy Industries until she married Danny Boe and moved to a ranch in Fort Benton, Montana. Her first son, Ronald was born there and they moved back to Deer Park, Wisconsin where they farmed and had four more children, John, Tom, Bruce and Bonnie.
She began a career in nursing as an assistant. She started in Nursing Homes and then worked 20 years at Lakeview Hospital in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. At retirement she was providing in-home care services.
Alice loved to laugh, often sharing jokes, was an adventure spirit and enjoyed travel and dancing.
She is survived by her sons Ronald (Renee') Boe, Deer Park, Wisconsin; John Boe, Seattle, Washington; Tom (Rita) Boe Amery, Wisconsin, and Bonnie (David) Berner Madison, Wisconsin. She was beyond thrilled and loved to tell anyone that would listen that she had 16 wonderful Grandchildren and 43 beautiful Great Grandchildren. She is further survived by Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy (Lester) Mattson, Beulah Dittloff, Kathleen (Fred) Wells and brothers, Merlin, Milton, and Jim Miller, a son Bruce Boe and Great Grandson Tyler Sweeny
Funeral Services will be held at First Lutheran Church, 240 W. Elm St. Amery, Wisconsin at 11AM on Saturday, January 21st, 2017. Visitation will be at 9AM until the time of service on Saturday.
