Allen John (Johnny) Hubert was born on June 2, 1925 to Everett W. Hubert and Effie (Johnson) Hubert. John was a life-long resident of Amery and graduated from Amery High School in 1944. In 1947, he was united in marriage to Florence Bird and they were married for 65 years. They lived on the family farm in Volga where John was a dairy farmer his entire life. John was a member of the Holstein Association. He loved antique cars and when he wasn't spending time on the farm he enjoyed hunting and fishing. John passed away at his home on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 88. His parents, his sister Wanda and his brother Vernon preceded him in death. Surviving family include his wife, Florence Hubert; brother, James (Margie) Hubert of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Bud (Gerry) Hubert of Portland, OR; son, Jay (Darcy) Hubert; daughter, Jill (Kevin) Daugherty of Seville, OH; grandchildren: Allen Hubert, Ashley (Brady) Emerson, Megan Daugherty and Haley Daugherty; great-granddaughters Alison and Samantha Emerson, as well as many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
