Obituary

Arlan H. Lee was born January 30th, 1942 to Raymond B. Lee and Myrtle I. Lee, in Grand Meadow, MN. Arlan and his parents moved to Amery in the early 1950's where he attended and graduated from Amery High School in 1960. While attending school, Arlan was an active member of the Amery Band, Choir and also played basketball and baseball.
During his senior year, Arlan joined the Navy Reserves and went active duty shortly after graduation, where he spent two tours in the Mediterranean.
In June of 1963 Arlan married his high school sweetheart, Linda K. Mueller and to this union three children were born. Arlan and Linda moved to Cottage Grove, MN., where they started their family. They later moved to Denver CO., for a few years and then to Pheonix, AZ. Wisconsin was always the place where they would call home and they later returned to Amery where they have lived ever since.
Arlan worked for Publisher's Printing, where he worked for more than thirty years, and retired at the age of 68. Arlan was a man of many talents, he enjoyed helping his Daughter Julie and Son-In-Law Dave work on many projects around their house.
Arlan was a family man who enjoyed spending his time with his kids and grandkids. He spent many of his hunting seasons up in Dairyland at his son Scott's cabin where he enjoyed memories of the grandkids first hunting seasons. Although he didn't get a deer each season, Arlan truly loved the time that he spent with his family.
Arlan also spent many of his weekends up at their "home away from home" in Minong Wisconsin, where he and Linda had a cabin with his daughter, Tammy and Son-In-law Jeff. Arlan loved getting away and doing little things or just sitting by the fire talking about family. Arlan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home at the age of 71 .
Arlan is preceded in death by his parents, his Uncle's, Earl, Art, and Clifford.
Left to celebrate his life are his wife Linda, of fifty years, mother in law Dorothie Mueller, his Daughter Julie (David) Adams, of Anchorage AK., Tammy (Jeff) Winchell, of Amery, and Son Scott of Amery. He also leaves eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his best four legged friends, Brandy, Tigger and Missy. Arlan will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Visitation for Arlan Lee will be on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm at the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home in Amery and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
