Arved Sylvester Weum, 99, formerly of International Falls, Minnesota died on April 10, 2024 at Dove Healthcare in St. Croix Falls, WI.

Arved was born on October 9, 1924 in Flom, Minnesota, the son of Christian and Lena (Grimstvedt) Weum. He enlisted in the Army in March of 1943 and was honorably discharged from the military in January of 1946. He was united in marriage to Irene Strom.

Arved was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gladys Carlson, Tilford Weum, Clifford Weum, Clarice Bernard, Violet Maley and Adeline Fini.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; step sons, Roger (Mary) Strom and Mark (Brenda) Strom; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Strom, Derek (Bethany) Strom and Katelyn Strom; 4 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Florence Lucas and Glen Weum along with many other nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30am on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls, Minnesota. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls, Minnesota.
