Joyce Westberg passed away at the Amery Regional Medical Center in Amery on Friday morning February 24, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home. There will be a visitation time for the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Barbara "Joyce" Westberg was born on November 20, 1934 the daughter of Elmer Richard and Gertrude (Carr) Jensen in Storden, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm in Storden. After graduating from high school she continued her education and became an x-ray technician. She moved to Amery, Wisconsin where she worked at the hospital as an x-ray technician. On June 17, 1967 she was united in marriage to Alfred Peter Westberg and together they raised two daughters. Joyce enjoyed having a vegetable garden and always had a house dog or cat. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Gaithers. To pass the time she also liked doing jigsaw puzzles. She worked at the hospital in Amery for many years and retired in 1994. She became the caregiver for her husband as he experienced health difficulties. After his death she remained in her home in rural Turtle Lake. Joyce died at the Amery Regional Medical Center on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 77 years.
Preceding her in death were her husband Alfred and her parents. Her surviving family includes her daughters Debra and Diane Westberg; brother Robert Jensen and sister Patricia Loppnow as well as other relatives and friends.
