Betty Mae Isakson passed away suddenly on December 11, 2014. She was born in Menomonie, WI on December 21, 1929, to Edward and Gena Odness, the youngest of six children. Betty grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1947. She worked several years before marrying Earl B. Isakson on February 6, 1953 in Menomonie. Together they moved a number of times before settling in Amery in 1960. As a young mother, she was busy raising their four boys - Paul, Curt, Kevin and Neil. During the 1960's the family lived overseas in Scotland for two years before returning to Amery. In 1970, Earl and Betty purchased the Coast-to-Coast store in Amery, which later became Isakson's True Value. In her free time, Betty was involved in many community activities and organizations including: Amery Women's Club, Polk County Homemakers, Good Sam Club, and Lake Wapogasset Bible Camp. She was also an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Amery. Betty took great pride in her family and was a loving, kind and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She loved visiting with her family and friends, traveling with her husband, and was especially fond of playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cuddling with her great-grandbabies. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Earl, and their sons: Paul (Kate) Isakson of Amery, Curt (Heidi) Isakson of Whitehall, Michigan, Kevin (Sue) Isakson of Clear Lake and Neil (Cory) Isakson of Fountain City.
