Ralph Willard Cran Jr, aka Bover Jr. Cran, was born on December 16, 1949 the son of Ralph and Myrtle (Anderson) Cran. He grew up on a farm in Georgetown with eleven siblings. After graduating from high school he took a job at Andersen Window in Bayport. On June 21, 1974 he was married to Jane Manke and to this union three children were born. They made their home in Roberts, Wisconsin. Bover later moved back to Georgetown. He continued commuting to Bayport, but also farmed with his brothers David and Pete. He enjoyed the outdoors and took many Canadian fishing trips over the years. He especially liked fly fishing. He was an avid hunter for deer and turkeys, but bow hunting was his favorite. He was visiting his brother when he passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in rural Amery, Wisconsin at the age of 64 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and sisters Annie and Gertie. Left to mourn are his daughters: Angela (Andrew) Dyb and Heather (Matt) Gravink; son Bradley (Tawnya) Cran; four grandchildren: Oliver, Riley, Evangeline and Elsaphina; brothers: Charles, David, Jerry and Brian Cran; sisters: Maggie, Mary, Ruth and Carol as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Georgetown Lutheran Church in rural Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. There will be a visitation time for the hour prior to the service.
