Brian Paul Christopherson was born in Amery, Wisconsin on August 12, 1978 the second of four children born to Terry and Karen (Larsen) Christopherson. He was Baptized and Confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Amery. At the age of 13 he went through diagnosis and surgery for a brain tumor and then endured several other medical procedures over the next twenty years. He attended Amery High School and graduated with the class of 1997. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, but left there to attend taxidermy school. For the past several years he has worked at the Lake Wapogasset Bible Camp in Maintenance, and cooking or doing anything else needed. After his health struggles it was not uncommon to be greeted with "It's a great day to be alive" when you met Brian. His love for the outdoors was unsurpassed. Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding the ATV or going to the family hunting cabin at Buck Falls were all things important to him. He was able to do taxidermy work for himself and others over the years. He had a special buddy, his Boston Terrier "Squirt". They went everywhere together. On January 2, 2009 he was united in marriage to Jennifer Kathryn Rinker. They made their home in Amery where Brian continued working at the Bible Camp and she at Dental Arts. When he wasn't able to be in the woods himself he could be there in spirit by watching hunting videos as he waited for the next season to come around. Brian died in Amery on Wednesday evening August 10, 2011 two days shy of his 33rd birthday.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jack Larsen and Grant Christopherson. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Rinker; step-daughter Jessica Olmstead; best buddy Squirt; parents Terry and Karen Christopherson; sisters Lori (Marty) Stevens and Lisa (Justin) Luehman; brother Bryce (Debbie) Christopherson; parents-in-law Dave & Kathy McKaig; grandmothers Pearl Larsen and Betty Christopherson; nieces Gretta and Caroline Stevens, as well as uncles, aunts, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from First Lutheran Church in Amery. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery. There will be visitation on Sunday August 14 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home and for the hour prior to the service at the church.
