Obituary

Carol Naomi Larson Kjeseth passed away peacefully at Willow Ridge Nursing Home on September 21, 2014. A kind, caring and loving soul, Carol touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Carol was born on March 26th, 1938 in Holton, WI to Lawrence and Vida (Beebe) Larson. Her family moved wherever her father's work took them and she attended school in Deer Park, Carr Creek and Baldwin. Music was an important part of her childhood. Carol especially enjoyed singing and making music with her family. She often shared fond memories of her classmates from Baldwin High School. On June 16, 1956 Carol was united in marriage to Ralph Kjeseth of Deronda. To this union, four children were born. Carol and Ralph worked side-by-side running their dairy farm with their children always near them. Carol enjoyed the family and friends who stopped in at the farm. No invitation was ever needed. She was always ready to serve up a cup of coffee, something sweet and visit around the kitchen table. Carol enjoyed daily Bible study. Her childhood church home of Cylon Methodist was dear to her heart. After marriage, Deronda Lutheran Church became her church home. Here, Carol enjoyed serving others, teaching the children, cooking/baking, worshipping and fellowshipping with the members of Deronda.
Her parents, Lawrence and Vida Larson, 2 brothers, Gilbert and Norman Larson, and daughter in law, Kimberly Kjeseth preceded Carol in death. She is survived by her husband Ralph Kjeseth, sons; Tim (Becky) Kjeseth, Tom Kjeseth (Mary), Todd Kjeseth and daughter Tami (Jeff) Bohlman, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Deronda Lutheran Church in rural Amery. There will be visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and for the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Deronda Cemetery.
