Carol Jean (Jacobson) Stoll was born in Poskin, Wisconsin on June 17, 1941. She was the daughter of Boyd and Myrtle (Germanson) Jacobson. She took her last breath on Sunday, November 13, 2016 with both of her daughters at her side. Carol fought a very long and courageous battle with cancer which began initially in the fall of 1987. It came back in 2003 and again in 2010 and she fought her cancer with all she had, and even though it claimed her life in the end, she beat it.
Carol was a longtime employee of the Amery School District working as a "lunch lady" for her 26 years at Lien Elementary and the Amery Intermediate School. She brought smiles and happiness to every scoop of food she served and put love in every dish she washed. She was also a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Amery where she served on many committees over the years. She helped prepare Communion, chaired the Holiday Bazar, served on the funeral committee and generally helped out wherever she was needed. She also was part of the Amery Fall Festival Queen's committee in the 1970's. She was united in marriage to John Stoll on June 15, 1963 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake WI and two children were brought into the union.
Carol lead a life of true service. She was always there for anyone who needed help with anything, anytime, anyplace, anywhere. To most of her close friends she was their kindred spirit. She was a kind, caring and quiet soul and was truly, the salt of the earth and lived her life to help others, especially her family. If there was an athletic, music or any school event that her children and grandchildren were participating in, she was there with full support. She would always wear New Richmond Tiger or LaCrosse school colors apparel for her grandchildren, and Amery Warrior colors for her "grandchildren of the heart". Carol's spirit will live on in all of the lives she touched over her 75 years on this earth. Her example of love and kindness will live on forever.
Preceding Carol in death were her parents, brothers, Vern Jacobson and Alvin "Jake" Jacobson, her husband, John, and his parents, Vincent and Bette Stoll, sisters-in-law Jan Stoll and Jeri Jacobson. Surviving Carol are her two daughters, Patty (Rob) Berger and Nancy (Mike) Stoll Caucutt, her grandchildren, Blake (Alix) Berger, Rylie (Jake LaMirande) Berger, Noah (Laura Seeger) Berger, Elizabeth Caucutt, Drayton Caucutt and Katherine Caucutt. She is also survived by special friend and caregiver Joni Amundson and family, many, many close friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, Godchildren and many member of her "family of the heart". A visitation will be held at Williamson White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, Wisconsin (715) 268-7111 on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00.
