Charles Henry Reitz, age 82 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Region's Hospital in St. Paul. He was born on October 18, 1933 in Elmwood, WI to Ernest and Bessie Reitz. Charles attended school in Elmwood and graduated in 1952 from Woodville High School. He was united in marriage to Helen Stolka on December 31, 1955 in Mahnomen, MN. To this union six children were born. Charles worked for the railroad, and loved fishing, hunting, cribbage and harvesting ginseng. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; grandsons, Pat Darvial and Kyle Mara, great grandson, Allister Reitz; brothers, Carl and Oren Reitz and sisters, Kathleen Nelson and Elaine Rodewald. He is survived by his sons, Dale and Chuck; daughters, Linda Darvial, Jenny (Tom) Mara, Joanne (Sylvio) Reitz and Carol Reitz; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and his sister, Shirley McKinney, as well as other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery, with Father Gene Murphy presiding. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Adam Reitz, Jason Reitz, Dale Reitz, Chuck Reitz, TJ Mara and Josh Mara.
