Curtis "Curt" Fleming, 77, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, July 16th, 2014.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service following at 5:00 p.m. at Williamson-While Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI 54001. A private family interment will take place at the Amery Cemetery.
Curt was born November 26, 1936 in Frederic, Wisconsin, to Floyd and Edla (Peterson) Fleming. He graduated from Frederic High School in 1954. He served in the Army from 1959 - 1962 and was stationed at the missile base in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On September 16, 1961, he married the former Marian "Meg" Gill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Curt attended the Brown Institute of Technology in Minneapolis and worked for Control Data, Fabri-Tek, Franklin Signal, and DMA. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed travel and camping. For many years, Curt coached youth softball. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Curt is survived by his three daughters: Renee Albrecht and her husband, Roger, of Sussex, WI; Shar Mike and her husband, Bob, of Amery, WI; and Kathryn Smestad and her husband, Brian, of Baldwin, WI; eight grandchildren: Amanda (Albrecht) Upton and Robert Albrecht, Ashley Gronlund, Mackenzie, Madelyn and Maxwell Mike, Wyatt and Vaughan Smestad; his sister, Shirley Ganter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Edla, his sister, Joyce Selover, and his wife, Meg (Gill) Fleming.
