Obituary

Waalen, Curtis Allen – Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, age 83, of Amery, WI passed away peacefully at home with family on February 7, 2016. He was born on February 17, 1932 to Nels and Tena Waalen on the Waalen family farm where he lived until his death. He is survived by his wife, Mabel; his children: Stephen (Cindy), Pat (Kurt) Goltz, Robin (Scott) Uram, Lynn (Steve) Thron, David (Renee), Barb, and Jerry (Tami); his 24 grandchildren and their 13 spouses; 21 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Donald (June) Waalen and brother-in-laws: James Stephens, John (Mona) Stephens and sister-in-laws: Sylvia Waalen, Bette Stephens, June Stephens, Dar Stephens and many nephews and nieces. Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Tena Waalen; his daughter, Mary; his brothers: Rueben and his wife June, James and his first wife Josephine and second wife Myrt, and Johnny; his sister: Anna and her husband Ralph Anderson; brother-in-laws: Donald Stephens, Alexander (Aldy) Stephens, and Ed Stephens; sister-in-law: Helen Stephens. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 11 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 1050 Keller Ave N, Amery, WI 54001. Visitation will be held Friday, February 12th from 4-7pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Ave N, Amery, WI 54001.
