Obituary

Dean O."Chick" Lindquist passed away in Harlingen, Texas on February 17, 2013 at the age of 71. He was born on December 15, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN to Victor and Barbara (Enloe) Lindquist.
He was united in marriage to Sheila (Bentley) on May 22, 1965. Chick is lovingly remembered by his daughter Robin (Maynard) Ruppert, Son Kurt (Kellie) Lindquist, and three beloved grandchildren; James, Julia, and Jens. He leaves behind a brother Dennis "Sluggo" Lindquist, a sister Ruth Ann Ducklow, and many relatives and dear friends.
Chick graduated from River Falls High School in 1960 and then served in the National Guard for 3 years with 18 months of active duty. Dean was a resident of New Richmond for 22 years then moved to Amery in 1985. He enjoyed spending his winters in Harlingen Texas for the past 10 years.
Chick began his career at 3M and then later worked at St. Croix Press for 28 years as co-owner. He also served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Magazine Publishers Association.
Chick was proud to be a Christian, Mason, and Shrine member. He served a term as president of the St Croix Valley Shrine Club. Chick loved to play golf at Amery, Clear Lake, and Harlingen Texas. He loved going to and participating in classic car shows. He most enjoyed watching his grandchildren competing in numerous sporting events. He was a talented woodcarver and a devoted Packer fan.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral home in Amery.
