Debbie J. Kaehler, 61, of Amery passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at her home in Amery, surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 3, 1953 in Amery, WI to Wayne and Alice (Nordby) Kuhl. Debbie graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1971 and went on to Cosmetology School in Eau Claire, WI. She worked as the Accountant at Lampert Yards in Amery for the past 13 years. Debbie enjoyed golfing and spending time in her yard. She had such a caring heart and loved spending time with her family, with a huge passion for her grandson. Debbie was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister and grandma.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father and mother Wayne and Alice Kuhl and sister-in-law JoAnn Lien. Surviving family members include her husband, Lyle of Amery, daughter Ally (Jake) Fox of River Falls, son Jason Singerhouse of Detroit Lakes, MN; step-daughter Kris (Lee) Hayek of LaCrescent, step-daughter Kim (EJ) Kaehler of Collinsville, IL; and grandson Mason Fox, siblings Diane (Lyle) Lauritsen of Amery, Chuck (Gail) Kuhl of Amery, Tim (Diane) Kuhl of Clear Lake, Tom (Roxy) Kuhl of Amery and Michelle Halverson of Cumberland, brother-in-law Leonard (Diane) Kaehler of Lakeville, MN; Ernie (Karen) Kaehler of St. Paul, MN; Wayne Kaehler of Minneapolis, Kathi (Scott) Wood of New Richmond, Step-mom Delores Kuhl of Clayton, WI; step-sisters Judy (Al) Scherff of Almena and Kathy (Larry) Gowin of Clayton, step-brother Rick (Joann) Sellent of Cumberland, and many special nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Amery. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home and for the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at the Amery Cemetery.
