Dee Anna Louise Collier was born on August 2, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Richard and Delores (nee:Swender) Buck. Even though her life started in Iowa she lived in several places as her father was in the Marine Corp. She graduated from high school in Iowa, and then moved to Kansas City where she worked at Solo Cup. While in Kansas City she met and married Paul Collier who was in the Air Force. They started their married life in Kansas City where their daughter Kerrie was born. They were soon transferred to Hawaii, and then to the upper peninsula of Michigan. Dee later moved back to Iowa where she lived for many years. One of the most enjoyable occupations she had was working as a playground supervisor at the public school. She enjoyed playing cribbage, doing crossword puzzles and occasionally visiting the casino. She was an avid reader and especially liked reading the bible. In 1999 her daughter Kerrie moved to Amery, Wisconsin and in 2006 Dee followed. She enjoyed spending time with family, and loved being close and spending time with her grandsons. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Amery and was part of a Bible Study there. This past July Dee had surgery and has had a very difficult time since then. She was a resident of the American Heritage Home in Hammond, Wisconsin where she passed away on Monday morning, February 24, 2014 at the age of 60 years.
Dee's mother and an infant sister Kathy preceded her in death. Left to mourn is her daughter Kerrie (Daniel) Clark and their sons: Ethan and Will, her father Richard Buck, Sr., brother Richard (Rochel) Buck; sisters: Becky (Greg) Creger and Deb (Brad) Curtis and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation for Dee will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Amery. Burial will take place at a later date at the Amery Cemetery.
