Delores Iona Cran was born on July 12, 1935 at her parents home in Eureka Township of Polk County, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Hyatt and Stella (Korting) Cran. She was born with severe hearing loss which was a struggle for her all her life, but she made the best of it. When Fabri-tek was operating in Amery she worked there as a manufacturing technician. After it's closing she went to Hunky Dory Resort where she worked as a cook, a job she really enjoyed. She has always enjoyed cooking and was also accomplished at crocheting. She was a longtime member of the Georgetown Lutheran Church and was active in the Quilting group there. She enjoyed her independence and lived alone on the farm in Georgetown. Delores was found at her home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 the victim of an apparent heart attack. She was 75 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to mourn are her Sister Doris Jean Gaetz; Brother Marvin (Juneal) Cran and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. from the Georgetown Lutheran Church in Georgetown. There will be a visitation for the hour prior to the service at the church.
