Obituary

Dennis Steven Moriarty was born in White Bear Lake, Minnesota on March 27, 1951 one of four children born to Richard and Phyllis (Brown) Moriarty. He grew up in White Bear Lake. After graduating from high school he was a truck driver for a number of years. He then went to school to become a Ferrier, but never actually got into the business. He was united in marriage to Colleen J. Forland and together they had one daughter Amanda. Dennis enjoyed playing cards and loved horses. After spending most of his life in the twin cities he moved to rural Amery, Wisconsin in 2003. He enjoyed going camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He has struggled with the effects of diabetes for years. As a hobby he recycled old cars, either fixing them or scrapping them out. Dennis died accidentally in Apple River Township in rural Amery on Friday August 13, 2010 at the age of 59 years.
His parents preceded him in death. Left to mourn are his daughter Amanda (Josh) Bantz and their children: Isabelle, Chloe and Davin; brothers Robert and Richard; sister Debbie Moriarty as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Congregational Church in Amery. There will be a visitation time for the hour prior to the service at the church.
