Donald Wayne Neperud was born in Superior, Wisconsin on November 23, 1929 the son of Roy and Mildred (Hagen) Neperud. His family moved to Chippewa Falls and later to Neilsville where he graduated from high school. He served in the United States Army and when he returned home he attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison getting his degree in Dairy and Food Science. He worked for Fairmont Foods where he met LaVerne Burkard and on Novemer 12, 1955 they were united in marriage and together they had three sons. They lived in Green Bay, West Bend, Moorhead, Minnesota and Eau Claire before moving to Amery, Wisconsin in 1969. Once living in Amery he worked for Niro in Hudson, Wisconsin retiring in 1993. Donald enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening. They also spent time camping and traveling with their travel trailer. Donald died at Willow Ridge Healthcare Center on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Jr and sister Joyce Rood. Surviving are his wife LaVerne; sons: Mike (Diane), Dave (Tammy) and Chris (Christine); five grandchildren; brothers: George and Bob; sisters: Carolyn Marquardt and Mary Anderson as well as other relatives and friends.



Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery. There will be visitation at the church for the hour prior to the service.
