Dorothy Marie Jones was born on June 29, 1930 in Amery, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Pearl (Hill) Jones. She graduated from Amery High School in 1949. Dorothy moved to the twin cities where she worked as an accountant for many years. She enjoyed planning outings with friends to check out new places in the metro area. She also enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with some of those friends. When she retired she moved home to Amery to care for her mother. Dorothy continued living in her family home until it became necessary to move to Golden Age Manor in Amery where she died on Thursday February 18, 2010 at the age of 79 years.
Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by relatives, neighbors and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery with Very Reverend John Drummy and Deacon Bud Heiser officiating. Interment is at the Amery Cemetery.
