Dorothy Agnes Schwab age 90, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Dove Healthcare in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Dorothy was born on February 3, 1928 to James and Ludmilla (Holec) Tomesh in Haugen, Wisconsin. She attended the Sunny Side School until the 8 ^th grade. Dorothy was married to Duane Schwab on June 7, 1949 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, Wisconsin and to the union 5 children were born. Dorothy and Duane made their home and spent many years just outside of Brill on the family farm until his passing from a farming accident on February 7, 1986. In her free time she loved to go dancing, spending time outside in her garden, reading, attending shows at the CeskaOpera house but most of all loved spending time with her family and hosting family gatherings around the Holiday Season. Dorothy worked many years picking potatoes for Lapacinski farms until her retirement. She was a proud member of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church. Her door was always open and she was willing to accommodate anyone who may visit her home by providing baked goods and often times a home cooked meal at short notice.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Roger (Cassie) Schwab; 3 daughters, Donna (Mitch) Atkins, Marilyn (Terry) Atkins, and Diane (Doug) Haley; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and 1 great-great granddaughter on the way; 2 brothers, Tony (Adeline) Tomesh and Albert (Regina) Tomesh; 2 sister-in-law's, Virginia Tomesh and Rosie Tomesh; a brother-in-law, Virgil "Buzzy" (Charlotte) Schwab and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane; her parents; 3 sisters, Mary Kubista, Lillian Dvorak Kodesh, and Martha Tomesh; 4 brothers, Jim Tomesh, John Tomesh, Joseph "Uncle Joe" Tomesh, Rudy Tomesh; and a son, Jim Schwab.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lourdes with Father Ed Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday at Appleyards Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and for one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will take place following the service at the Church Cemetery.
