Douglas James Drake, 73, died April 6, 2025 at home in Amery, Wisconsin.

He was born April 23, 1951, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of James Madison Drake and Anita Jeanne Page Drake. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and Macalester College, where he made many lifelong friends. A resident of Amery since 1990, he managed his business AMCI Computers until his retirement in 2014.

He married Nancy Lynn Drake on September 16, 1978 in Colfax, Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Hillary (Nick), son Tyler (Kathryn), and granddaughters Nora and Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Page Drake.

He was an avid fisherman and enthusiastic volunteer. He served on the board of the Lake Wapogasset and Bear Trap Improvement Association and Friends of the Amery Area Public Library for many years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. Memories of Doug will be shared at 4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends of the Amery Area Public Library Foundation .
