Edmund Phillip Maier, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery, WI. Ed was born on March 14, 1932 in Killdeer, North Dakota, the son of Ed and Cora Maier. He was the youngest of three children and spent his early years in Killdeer N.D. and during high school moved to the Milltown, Wisconsin area. During his adult life, Ed and his family moved throughout Wisconsin where he worked in farming and law enforcement, but 'home' was the Georgetown area where he owned and operated a bulk milk route.

Ed is survived by his daughter LaRae (Doug) Zappa and granddaughters
Britani (Marcus)Berget and Mindi (Andy) Spofford; his son Paul Maier and grandchildren Morgan and Daniel Maier;and special friends Dorothy Platson, Zoey Larson and her son Max.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 3:30 pm at the Bunyan Cemetery in Georgetown Township of Polk County, Wisconsin.
