Edward Lavern Sigsworth was born in Polk County, Wisconsin on April 28, 1927 to Martin and Christine (Johnson) Sigsworth. He grew up in Amery and attended Amery schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1949, and then enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and served until 1954. Edward worked at Gibson Associates in Cranford, New Jersey. In 1957 he was united in marriage to Regina Moser, and when Regina became ill, they moved to Amery where she passed away in 1968. Edward remained in Amery and was married to Wauneta West in 1976. He worked at Ideal Security in St. Paul until his retirement. Wauneta passed away in 2001. Ed enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and coffee at his house every Wednesday morning with his nephews. Edward passed away at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis on November 6, 2015 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Regina and Wauneta; stepdaughter, Joan Overath; brothers, Fred, Laurence, Kenneth, George, Charles, Robert and step brother, William Sigsworth. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Violet Malmquist, Mabel McAloon, Ruby McAloon, Grace Sundberg, Nellie Karpenske and Luella Hansen. Edward is survived by his daughter, Christine Reinhard; step daughters, Kim Suiter and Kathy Stone; stepsons, Bobby, Thom and Richard Moser and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home Chapel in Amery, with Pastor Barry Schaefer officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
