Elizabeth "Betty" Lorraine Hull Peterson died December 20, 2015 at Amery Memory
Care in Amery, Wisconsin with her family at her side.

Betty was born on January 8, 1925 to Roy M. and Roberta M. (Boschert) Hull in Burlington, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith.She attended grade school and high school in Burlington where she had an attendance record that was almost perfect. In the summer months in the early 1940's she would come up to Range to visit her aunt Olive Colburn and Cousin Leota Frederickson. Here she met the love of her life Melvin A. Peterson of Turtle Lake, in Beaver Township. Betty and Melvin were married June 30, 1943 at St Ann's Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. After their marriage they moved into the family farm north of Range. Here the couple made their home with Betty's father- in-law, uncle-in-law, 2 sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law. To this union Betty and Melvin had four children. Betty then took Lutheran lessons in 1946 and joined the Elim Lutheran Church in Range where her husband was a member. There she became an active member of the Ladies Aid and was a Sunday School Superintendent for a few years. Betty loved to crochet and make ceramics. She was also active in two 500 card clubs. She loved to play 500. She belonged to the North Range Homemakers. In 1994 Betty moved to the Turtle Lake apartments. She lived there until she could no longer care for herself. In November of 2015 she moved to the Memory Care Unit in Amery where she lived until her passing.

Betty leaves behind to remember and love her two children and their spouses, Ivah (Russ)Cockerham of Luck, WI; Nancy (Bruce) Oeffler of Turtle Lake, WI; son-in-law, Daniel Gustafson of Frederic, WI; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Alcorn of Turtle Lake, WI; a brother, Duane Hull of Tucson, Arizona; Grandchildren, Bruce Gustafson of Frederic, WI, Mari Rush of Turtle Lake, WI, Jody (Travis) Walker of Maryland, Tamara (Mark) Beaudry of Luck, WI, David Cockerham of Minneapolis, MN, Sherry (Eric) Duren of Eau Claire, WI; Karen (Clint) Kohel of Coon Rapids, MN; 11 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as friends. Betty joins her husband,
Melvin; daughter, Jeanette; son, Larry; her parents; 3 brothers and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 4, 2016 at Elim Lutheran Church in Range with Pastor Matt Saarem officiating. Visitation will be held from 2- 5 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Williamson~White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI 54001. Burial will be at the Elim Lutheran Cemetery.
