Elnora Elizabeth (Kimmell) Olson was born on April 23, 1917 in Couderay, WI to Carl and Mary (Rash) Kimmell. She graduated from Menomonie High School in1935. After high school she attended Barber School and after graduation joined her father, Carl in his Barber Shop in Knapp. Elnora met Howard "Butch" Olson and they were united in marriage in Iowa. The couple made their home in Knapp, WI where they ran Olson Mobile Homes. They were blessed with two children. In 1967 they retired and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and travelled all over the world. They continued to live in Florida until they moved back to Wisconsin in the mid 2000's because of health issues. They then made their home in Amery, WI and Butch passed away in 2004. Elnora continued to live in Amery at the Evergreen Apartments and then Golden Age Manor, where she passed away on March 17, 2017 just a month shy of her 100th birthday. Elnora enjoyed golfing, singing and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Kimmell; husband, Howard "Butch" Olson; son, Mickey Olson; sister, Mildred Purvis and brother in law, James Purvis and brother, Delmar (Bud) Kimmell. Elnora leaves behind her daughter, Penny Olson Holden; son in law, James Holden; five grandchildren, Chris (Joann), Scott (Angie) and Ty (Merry) Holden and Tory (Michelle) and Erik (Dianna) Olson; nine great grandchildren; daughter in law Patti Olson and step grandchildren, Steve, Mark and David Leighton; nephew Richard Olson; niece Marcia Finder as well as other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will take place at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Knapp at a later date.
