Elsie Katherine Ostenson, age 80 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Golden Age Manor in Amery. She was born on December 8, 1933 in Rice Lake, WI and was one of three children. In her early years she spent time working as a nurse's aide while living with her sister, Shirley. Elsie was united in marriage to William Bruns in 1961 and they made their home in Turtle Lake, WI. Bill was diagnosed with cancer soon after their marriage and he passed away in 1965. Elsie then took a job at Jerome's in Barron and was united in marriage to Marlin Ostenson in 1970. Together they farmed until they decided to make their home at the Oakbrook Apartments. Over the last ten years, Golden Age Manor has been her home. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Marlin as well as her friends and caregivers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home chapel in Amery. A visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
