Eugenia "Jean" Faye Jones was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on December 23, 1934 one of five children born to James A. and Winnie L. Trimble. She grew up in Oklahoma and was united in marriage to Kenny Jones and together they had one son Wayne. In 1964 they moved to California. In 1980 she moved to the Amery area and worked at several jobs, the first being a cook at the Amery Hotel. She eventually settled in as a cook at Golden Age Manor in Amery. Jean was an avid reader, loved garage sales, and collecting apples. She loved her family and her most enjoyment in life was spending time with them. Her greatest pleasure was being a grandmother and then a great grandmother. She was thrilled to welcome her great grandsons along with the new title "Granny". Jean had just moved in with her son's family because of health reasons. She passed away there on Saturday morning, August 11, 2012 at the age of 77 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Wilma Jean Trimble and brother James Wayne Trimble. She is survived by her son Wayne and his wife Gloria; grandchildren: Keri Lebens (Jesse), Erik Jones (Missy); great grandchildren: Preston Jones, Wyatt Jones and Easton Lebens; brother Preston Trimble (Patty), sister Jackie Watkins; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. from the Little Falls Lutheran Church in rural Amery. There will be a visitation time for two hours prior to the service at the church.
