Obituary

Evelyn Adeline Bale was born in Milltown, Wisconsin on May 28, 1912 the daughter of Willie and Hannah Nelson. She was baptized at the Milltown Lutheran Church on June 16, 1912 and later confirmed on August 15, 1926. After completing high school she attended two years of Medical Technology and eventually became an LPN. She was married to Howard Bale and together they had two sons. After leaving Milltown she lived in Wayzata, Minnesota and then in 1944 she moved to Amery, Wisconsin. She worked at the medical clinic for Dr. Waterman and Dr. Ford. She then worked as bookkeeper for Stella Cheese for a period of time. After Crestview Plaza opened in Amery she worked there as an LPN until retiring. She remained in Amery after retirement and has been a resident at Willow Ridge for several years. Evelyn passed away at Willow Ridge on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the age of 101 years.
Her parents preceded her in death. Left to mourn are her sons: Richard (Bonnie) Bale and William (Joyce) Bale; four grandchildren: Kari Bale, Michael Bale, Susan Bale and Michelle (Jason) Eng; three great grandchildren: Dylan Larson, Kaylie Larson and Amelia Eng as well as other relatives and friends.


Memorial services will be held at First Lutheran Church in Amery on Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation time for the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial was at the Milltown Cemetery.
