Obituary

Georgia Ruby Orr was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin on May 31, 1932 to George and Marie (Fish) Orr. She grew up on the family farm in Georgetown near Balsam Lake, WI. She graduated from Milltown High School. Her first job was with Nash Finch, and from there she worked at the VA in Minneapolis for 10 years. Georgia moved home to be with her Dad when her Mom died in 1958. She worked in the office at Apple River Hospital until she retired. Georgia loved to be on the go. She took many canoe trips, and was an avid downhill skier, loved to camp and in the later years, took trips with her sisters, Nancy and Ella. Georgia survived two bouts of cancer. She was a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, J. Edwin Harriman and one sister, Zilla Bibeau. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Audette of Balsam Lake, and Ella Audette of Cedar, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Georgia will always be remembered for her pans of brownies and chocolate chip cookie bars. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 from Georgetown Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as the hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at the Georgetown Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
