Gerald M. "Jerry" Koecher, passed away at 2pm on October 10, 2017. Born to Otto and Gertrude Koecher in Cambridge, Minnesota on January 22, 1953, and grew up in rural Stacy. He graduated from North Branch High School in 1971, and lived in Martin Lake for many years, owning a landscaping company. As his nephew, Derek Koecher said "he was a friend, uncle, brother, confidant, a bridge, a rock to many of us." He was a good natured person who was always there for his many friends at their moment of need. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, Sisters Mary Koecher and Joyce Bellin. He is survived by Brothers Carl, Walter, and Larry Koecher, many nephews and niece, grand nephews and nieces, cousins, and many, many friends. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home, 6580 Main Street, North Branch, MN, visitation will take place 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home from 2 to 4 pm. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the senior center in North Branch, MN.
