Geraldine Ann Renstrom was born in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of John and Margaret (Price) Sekora. She grew up in South St. Paul and after graduating from high school she went to college to be a librarian. On November 4, 1970 she was united in marriage to Richard Louis Renstrom in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They made their home in South St. Paul, but had a lake home on Little Blake Lake where they enjoyed spending time. Geraldine was a good cook and enjoyed sewing as well. Together they raised five children. In 1986 they moved to their home on Little Blake Lake and she worked as librarian at the Balsam Lake Library for several years. After retiring as librarian she served on the Library Board of Directors. During her years living in Wisconsin she was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake. Geraldine died at Region's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the age of 75 years.
Her parents, husband Richard and Sister Rosemary Sekora all preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Lane (Tammy) Halley; daughters Lynne Nelson, Caryl (Mike) Colestock, Laura (Greg) Wade and Beth (Matt) Heiss; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister Delores Cadwell as well as other relatives and friends.


Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin with a visitation time for the hour before the service. Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown Township
