Griffert Edward Pfenning, age 75, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away on
Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home.
Griffert was born on June 9, 1941, in Mercer County, North Dakota, to
Edward and Erna (Kusmenko) Pfenning. Griffert graduated from Bismark High School in 1959. In 1960 he was united in marriage to Donna Schroedl. Griffert was a machinist by trade. When he retired, he enjoyed traveling by motorcycle and saw much of the United States that way.
Griffert is survived by his 2 sons: Mike (Sue) Pfenning, Steve Pfenning;Grandchildren: Crystal (Jerry) Miller, Billy (Lizzie) Pfenning, Nathan Wachowiak, Sterling (Catherine) Pfenning, Hannah Pfenning, Bethany (Benjamin) Waldner, Rachel Pfenning, Samuel Pfenning, Rebecca Pfenning, Daniel Pfenning, Sarah Pfenning, and Joseph Pfenning; Great Grandchildren: Jared, AJ, Heath, Reid, Amos, Nahum, Sophia, Savanah, Kylee Rae, James,Jana, Mark, Paul, Drake; a special friend, Reta Erickson; his father,Edward Pfenning; a sister, Dianna (Merrill ) Varner; Aunts, LaverneKusmenko, Adeline Pfenning; Nieces/Nephews, Jeanne (Dan) Senecal, Julie(Fred) Bailey, Rod Ritchey, Shelli (Michael) Jordan; sister-in-law, Arla
Ritchey, and great nieces/nephews. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, May 23rd,at the Senior Center in Amery, Wisconsin.
