Helen was born on July 15, 1924 to Henry and Grace Hoverson on the family farm south of Albert Lea Minnesota. She was baptized on September 7, 1924 at Round Prairie Church, Glenville, Minnesota. She married Palmer B Dagestad on October 14, 1945. They celebrated 65 years together before his passing in 2010. Helen was an active member of Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria, Wisconsin. She enjoyed spending winters in Texas after Palmer's retirement, where she kept busy playing cards and Bingo and visiting with their many friends. She enjoyed reading and baking and always had a cookie for the grandkids when they stopped by.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Judith (Bob) Liggett; 3 sons, Darryl (June) Dagestad, Ronald (Marilyn) Dagestad, and Randy (Cindy) Dagestad; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, along with many step great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Ruth and Betsey.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday December 23, 2015 at Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria, Wisconsin with Pastor Mel Rau officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in the spring.
