Helen Netta (Monson) Jensen was born on October 19, 1935, to Mary and Arvid Monson. She grew up on the family farm at Clear Lake, WI.

Helen Netta attended Clear Lake Elementary and High School, graduating in May 1953. After graduation, she worked for a short time at Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul, MN. She then returned to her homestead area and worked at Dr. Nelson's Dental Office, the Amery Medical Clinic and the Amery Hospital before accepting a position as a secretary at the Amery High School—a role she continued for 30 years. During the time of working in Amery, Helen Netta met her future husband, Svend Jensen, at a dance. Helen Netta and Svend were married on September 16, 1955, at the Swedish Congregational Church, Clear Lake, WI. After marriage, they resided briefly in New Richmond, WI before moving to Amery, Wisconsin, where they continued to reside and raise their family.

Helen Netta was an active member of the Swedish Congregational Church for 39 years, several years as their organist. Eventually, she became a member of the Amery Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she continued her services as an active member by way of: organist, reader, choir member as well as usher and greeter. She was also involved with the Gospel Singers at the Golden Age Manor and the Dana Yelle Dance Orchestra. Helen Netta enjoyed crafts, reading, golfing, baking, Lutefisk dinners, going out for coffee and being with her many relatives and friends. Once retired, Svend and Helen Netta spent their winters in Arizona.

Helen Netta passed away February 12, 2026, at the Golden Age Manor of Amery, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Svend; her parents; brothers, Veldon (Mary), Walter (Della), Harvey (Shirley), and Alger Monson; sister, Edith (David) Paulson; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Jensen.

She will be missed by her daughter, Alane (Clifford) Kurowski; son, Paul (Monica John) Jensen; grandchildren, Alex (Emily Rock) Kurowski, April (Jonathan) Einsig and Josh, Felicia (Drake Thompson) and Olivia Jensen; as well as great-grandchildren, Corbin, Arthur, Beatrix and Jeremiah; sister-in-law, Lorraine; and many relatives and friends.

A visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Amery, WI with a visitation one hour prior. A private family interment at the Swedish Congregational Cemetery will be held at a later date.
