Obituary

Irene Miller, age 94 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Golden Age Manor in Amery. She was born on December 19, 1917 in Alden Township, WI to Carl and Anna (Hendrickson) Bottolfson. She attended grade school in Alden Township and graduated from Amery. She was united in marriage to Orville J. Miller and they made their home in Amery where they also raised two children. While living in Amery, Irene worked at various jobs including the bakery, Ben Franklin and Stella Cheese. In 1961 Orville and Irene moved to Lake Wapogasset. After Orville's death in 2003, Irene moved to Evergreen Assisted Living and then to Golden Age Manor. Irene was active at Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved to take care of the building and work in the kitchen. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and sewed many items for her church. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; brothers, Burt and Harold Bottolfson and sister, Marion Bottolfson. She is survived by her son, Tom (Sharon) Miller; daughter, Sharon (Ronald) Tamke, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012 from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery. A visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the West Immanuel cemetery.
