James M. Tew, age 76, sadly left us on March 4, 2023 due to cancer.

Jim grew up in the Bemidji area and graduated from Melrose, Minnesota. He became a machinist for 10 years before becoming an over the road truck driver with his co-pilot, Pheonix. Driving was one of his passions—any place to go was never too far.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, traveling and having lots of fun.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary and Millard and his brother, John. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl and son, Jason Morris. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in Minnesota, Colorado, and California and many in-laws whom he loved. Cheryl always said, "I'm not sure if he married me or my family."

Jim was a man of few words, and he remarked when things were tough, "I've lived a good life."
