Jane Marie Tietyen (nee Beestman) was called to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6th, 2017.
Born in New Richmond, WI, Jane had attended school in Minneapolis, graduating from Clear Lake High School. After earning her degree in Home Economics from UW-Stout, Jane worked in Gillett, Wisconsin for 33 years, adding a Master's degree and a position in guidance counseling. She had numerous recognitions for her teaching and programs, and served on many committees in her field, her church and community. Aside from earning credits, community projects/service, Sunday school, and Youth Ministries, Jane had a heart for Arrowhead Bible Camp ministries. She had been a camper, then counselor, and often kitchen help throughout the decades. In "retirement", she continued to substitute teach in Clear Lake, worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship, taught adult/student Bible classes, while maintaining ever-increasing gardens, managing a great array of bird feeders, and finding new ideas and décor for hosting family and friends at her home. She had a gift for making people feel welcome in her home. She was quick to find a way to come alongside people and help them with projects that seemed overwhelming. Her gifts for organization and design were shared with those she loved. Everywhere she went, everyone she met, and everything she did she considered it to be a ministry of God's love.
In a very large family, Jane was able to be attentive to and find ideas for each to feel loved. Of all the things she loved and cared for, her only child, Tyler, was her heart. She felt blessed that he had found a kind and godly spouse to share his life.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband of thirty years, Jan; her son, Tyler (Rachel) Tietyen;her treasured mother, Helen, who lived with Jane and Jan; Jan's parents-Glenroy and Agatha Tietyen; Jan's twin sister, Jill (Joe) Tranetzke , Jared Tranetzke, Jereme Tranetzke and Keyanna; Erik (Emily) Tietyen and Charlotte and Merrick; Tony (Jennifer) Tietyen; Kathy Tietyen and Dawn Tietyen.
