Janet M. Swanson passed away on January 12, 2026 at Amery Memory Care in Amery, Wisconsin. She was born on April 18, 1945 to Roy and Stella Postel, who preceded her in death. Janet was also preceded in death by her sister, Delores, and her daughter, Dawn.

Janet had a difficult childhood, and much of her early life was shaped by the care of her older sister who helped raise her. She met life's challenges with quiet strength and resilience.

Janet enjoyed simple pleasures, especially playing bingo and cards and spending time visiting with her family. These moments brought her joy and connection and are fondly remember by those who knew her.

She is survived by her niece, Audrey Parish (Steve Hohler); grandniece, Jennifer Svela (Jim Sigsworth); grandnephew, Chris (Mellisa) Parish and their son, Mason and daughter, Alexis Parish.
