John Allen Martin age 57, of Osceola passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
John was born on April 25, 1958 in Clear Lake, Wisconsin to Leland and Sybil (Bjorgum) Martin. John attended High School at Eau Claire North from which he graduated from in 1976. After High School he attended Technical Colleges for welding, fabrication, machining and other related studies. He worked at Duro Bag Manufacturing in Hudson, WI for over 30 years. On September 7, 1991 he married Julia Bedell in Huntington, WI. He most recently was working at Brandtjen & Kluge in St. Croix Falls, WI where he was a welder and jack of all trades. John had many interests including hunting, fishing and watching Nascar. He was also a history buff. John could answer just about any question in regards to the Civil War and World War II. He was an avid Packers, Badgers and Twins fan. He enjoyed playing with his pets and playing music.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Julie Martin; 2 sons, Phillip (Cassandra) Bedell and Trevor Goeppinger; grandchildren, Layla Bedell, Jagger Scholz and Merrick Scholz; a brother, Ron (Julie) Martin; mother, Sybil Martin and a sister, Karen (James)Hauck; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Leland; a brother, Dan; a sister, Mary.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery with Pastor Tim Bjorge officiating. Visitation will be held Monday at the Funeral Home from 3 – 7 PM. Interment will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Clear Lake Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the family.
