June L. Ginter, age 82 of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Golden Age Manor in Amery. She was born on June 18, 1930 in Elysian, Minnesota to Joseph and Laura (Worrell) Warner. She attended and graduated from Claremont High School in 1948. During her senior year of high school she worked as a telephone operator in Claremont. She continued to work in Claremont after graduating from high school and on November 20, 1948 was united in marriage to Robert Ginter. The couple made their home in Sanborn, Minnesota and later moved to Tracy, Minnesota where they were blessed with a son, Mike in 1950. While living in Tracy she was the bookkeeper for Hemmingson Auto Sales Company for 35 years. They would make Tracy their home until moving to Amery in 2004 to be closer to their son. Bob and June spent 19 years living in Mission, Texas during the winter months where they made many friends over the years. June loved her family and they were very important to her. She enjoyed family get togethers and seeing her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tracy and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery, a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and also a member of many bridge groups. She loved to play bridge, knit, do cross stitch and was fond of dogs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and canning. In her early years she spent time bowling, camping, fishing and collecting arrowheads. June was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Judy and Jane. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; son, Michael (Norma); three grandchildren, Jake Ginter, Abby (Ron) McDonald and Lindsay Ginter and two great grandchildren, Layla and Dylan McDonald. She also leaves behind brothers, Jerry and Joey Warner and sisters, Joan Naylor, Jean Howieson and Jule Paquin.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home. There will be a visitation time from 4:30 to 6:30 prior to the service.
