June Margaret Peterson, age 96 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Golden Age Manor in Amery.

June was born on June 6, 1922 in Amery to Odin and Janna (Johnson) Elden, and attended school through the 8 ^th grade.   She was united in marriage to Clifford M. Peterson on October 5, 1940 at Deronda Lutheran Church. June was a lifelong member of West Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, family gatherings and having lunch with her sister, Edna, every Monday. June also enjoyed being a homemaker, and loved to cook and entertain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odin and Jenna; husband, Clifford; a stillborn child; brothers, Harold, Ogden, William and Leon; and sisters, Lucille Dietrich, May Wold and Esther Alm. June is survived by her son, Mike (Sheryl) Peterson; sister Edna Henrikson; sister in law, Lillian Hanson; and brother in law, Don Christopherson, as well as other family and friends.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, October 8, 2018 at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Osceola. A visitation will take place an hour prior to the service at the church, with burial to follow at the West Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
