Justin David Hanson, age 37 of Clayton, WI passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born on March 19, 1979 in Janesville, WI to Billy and Debra (Lau) Hanson. He grew up and attended school in many different places throughout the United States. He was a very accomplished chef, and worked at several restaurants including Famous Daves BBQ and Blues in Uptown, and he traveled the US with Dave teaching people how to BBQ. Justin also worked at Rick's Cabaret and The Seville Club for over 12 years. He most recently moved from the Twin Cities to Clayton to live with family and enjoy the outdoors and a place to garden. Justin enjoyed gardening, cooking and riding four wheelers, and was a good friend to many people. He was loved by many and had a gift of always remembering people's birthdays, often showing up with a cake to surprise them. Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bud Lau and grandparents, Bill and Carol Hanson. He is survived by his father, Billy Hanson and mother, Debra Hanson; sisters, Jacqueline, Carolyn and Ashley Hanson; grandmother, Charlotte Lau and many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering in remembrance of Justin will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4 to 6 pm at The Dalles House Restaurant, 720 So. Hwy 35, St. Croix Falls, WI 54024.
