On October 21st our Precious Little Angel earned her wings to fly up to heaven. Kailey Rose Zmuda was born August 28, 1999 to Tracy and Tammy Zmuda, at Amery. She was baptized on November 14, 1999 at Little Falls Lutheran Church.
Kailey was a sixth grader at Amery Middle School where she had many friends. Even though she had limitations in her life she never let that stop her. She was a Go Getter. She believed she could do anything if she set her mind to it. Her friends and family believed in her as well and were always there to encourage her to try. Kailey was involved in many activities, Girl Scouts, Drama Rama, Destination Imagination, making it to state with her team KAMADAGA in 2011. She was also involved in Prairie Fire Children's Theatre for 3 years and being in the local movie, Unbroken Circle. She loved to act and sing-always having a microphone in her hand if available. She loved going to Sunday School Good News Club and VBS, singing the praises of Jesus.
Kailey loved helping the Rice Lake Fire Department with the MDA Fill the Boot Campaign, helping raise money to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy.
Kailey enjoyed many outdoor activities-including ATV riding at Family get togethers , tractor rides with her dad, riding around in the wheelchair, going thru leaf piles and mud puddles, along with doing donuts in the driveway. She was mommy's little helper in the house, baking and helping with scrambling eggs. She was daddy's helper outside, helping work on cars or raking leaves.
She will be greatly missed for her contagious smile and spontaneity. She leaves to mourn her parents Tracy and Tammy, Big Sisters Kimberly and Kelsey, her Little Brother Kameron, Grandparents Carol Larson of Amery, Gaynor Larson of Clayton, and Sue Zmuda of Winter. Also left are her Aunts and Uncles; Heather and Billy Thayer, Kenny and Stacy Larson, Jamie Larson and Stephanie Swansen, and Paul and Tina Zmuda, Godparents Jean and Aaron Potopinski and Martin and Laurie Newville. Along with cousins: Braydon, Hannah, Brennen, Mitchell, Alex, Brady, Nick, Damion, Mariah, Matt, Sam, Amber, Jonathan, Madison and Jeffery and other family and friends.
Kailey Rose is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Zach and Kaden, Grandpa Fred Zmuda, Grandma Cindy Larson, Aunt Tracy Larson, Great Grandpa Ed Zmuda and Great Grandma Betty Briese. Kailey will be missed by everyone whose hearts she touched…she certainly made a difference in this world.
Services for Kailey were Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Falls Lutheran Church with Pastor Jerry Schultz officiating. Pallbearers were her Uncles Paul, Kenny, Billy and Jamie as well as cousins Braydon and Brady Larson. Interment was at the Little Falls Cemetery.
