Kathleen M. Terhark passed away on November 15, 2012 at Riverbend in Amery. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Balsam Lutheran Church in rural Amery. Visitation will be at Williamson ~ White Funeral Home in Amery on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
Kathleen was born the daughter of Clarence & Lucy Peterson on August 1, 1944. She was confirmed, married and a longtime member of Balsam Lutheran Church. She attended Amery schools, graduating in 1962. On June 6, 1964 she was united in marriage to James G. Terhark and they made their home in rural Amery. She is survived by two children, Troy A. Terhark (Kris) and Melanie J. Omar (Ashraf) and grandchildren, Mia Omar, Quinn Omar, David Terhark , and Riley Terhark. Also surviving are six brothers and four sisters, Gerald (Sheena) Peterson, Janet Johannsen, Gordon (Janet) Peterson, Duane Peterson, Karen (Jim) Riley, Rodney (Nancy) Peterson, Arlen (Linda) Peterson, Cheryl (Steven) Volgren, Lynette (Lloyd) Lenart, Brian (Scott) Peterson, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death was her husband James, Parents, and Mother and Father-In Law, Florence & Henry Terhark and many other relatives. Kathy was very proud to be a wife, mother and grandmother, often times referring to her husband, children and grandchildren as her pride and joy.
