Kenneth Joe Erickson was born in Amery, Wisconsin on November 2, 1953 the son of Joseph and Mabel (Carter) Erickson. He grew up on the farm in rural Deer Park, Wisconsin. He attended school in Amery graduating with the class of 1972. He moved to Maplewood, Minnesota and worked in the twin cities at Ecolab where he worked in their mail distribution center. For a period of time he owned and operated a 1 hour photo shop as well. Over the years Ken lived in Deer Park, New Richmond and Baldwin before settling in to live at Heartview in Hudson, Wisconsin. He was computer savvy and enjoyed being on the computer, both working and socializing. Ken for years has had cats, the most recent being "Bruce Wayne". Ken struggled with epilepsy from the time he was 8 years old. He never complained about having to deal with this disabilty, but rather dealt with it with dignity and grace. Ken was diagnosed with cancer and with the help of hospice care was able to remain at his home until his death on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the age of 62.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Lloyd and sister Carol Penner. Surviving family members include his brother Sam (Barbara) Erickson; sisters: Elaine Martin and June Ryan as well as other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery with visitation the hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, Wisconsin.
