Laurence Herbert Sigsworth Jr. passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Amery Hospital and Clinic. He was born on September 28, 1940 in Amery, Wisconsin to Laurence and Mary Sigsworth. Larry, or Fuzzy as he was known to most, was drafted in to the Army in 1963 and spent time in Missouri, California and Washington state. He was honorably discharged on October 6, 1965. On August 5, 1967 he was united in marriage to Karen Jo Anna Berquam at West Immanuel Church in Osceola, WI. Together they raised three children, Lisa, Scott and Nathan, and the family made their home in Amery. Larry had various jobs including working at United Refrigeration in Hudson, Champion Aircraft in Osceola, Ideal Security in St. Paul, and at the Wanderoos Cheese Factory. His happiest years were spent working on the greens at the Amery Golf Course where he retired from in October of 2011. Larry enjoyed being outdoors and spent countless hours hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and visiting with his brothers, uncles and cousins over a good cup of coffee. His ultimate passion was golfing. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Mary, his oldest sister, Shirley Gustafson and grandson, Jordan Handrahan. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; sons, Scott (Lori) and Nathan; daughter, Lisa (Jim) Handrahan and grandchildren, Joshua and Cody Handrahan, Alyssa, Kayla and Mitchell Sigsworth and Samantha and Max Sigsworth. Larry is also survived by his great grandchildren, Hunter, Troy and Sophie Handrahan; brothers, Charles (Kay) Sigsworth, James, Danny (Elaine) Sigsworth, Richard Sigsworth, Dennis Sigsworth and sister, Julie Peterson. The celebration of Larry's life will be held at the West Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Osceola at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as for the hour prior to the service at the church.
