LaVerne M. Neperud, 96, of Amery passed away March 26, 2025 at Willow Ridge Healthcare Center. She was born October 8, 1928 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Norbert and Mary (Champeau) Burkard, one of nine children. LaVerne graduated from Green Bay East High School, married Donald Neperud on November 12, 1955, and together they had 3 sons. In 1969 they all moved to Amery, Wisconsin where Don and LaVerne lived for the remainder of their lives.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, and siblings Arnold, Gerald, Clarence, Raymond, Phillip, Mary Jean and Dorothy. She is survived by her sister Donna, sons Mike (Diane), Dave (Tammy) and Chris (Christine), five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A private service for family will be held at a later date.
