Services for Lawrence Bottolfson, 98, will be held at the Amery Free Lutheran Church in Amery, on August 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Eric Christenson officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home, as well as the hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the East Immanuel Cemetery.
Lawrence was born on July 13, 1913 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age of three his family moved to the Amery area where he farmed for his entire life. On May 11, 1941 he married Ethelyn Schaefer and from that marriage five children were born. He is survived by two sons, Gary (Karen) and David (Barb) Bottolfson of Amery; two daughters, Jane Warren (Jeff) of Amery and Janice Loula (Scott) of Woodbury, Minnesota, and also a sister, Lila Warner of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ida; wife, Ethelyn; daughter, Cynthia Ann and sister, Evelyn. Lawrence had great faith in His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He boldly spoke of his faith and shared it freely with many people. He was a proud member of the Gideon International organization for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and uncle. He passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Amery Regional Medical Center.
